Terms of Service

We've tried to keep these terms short and readable. They cover how Tazilo works, what you own, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

1.Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Tazilo Labs ("Tazilo", "we", "us"), which operates tazilo.ai and the Tazilo service. By creating an account or using Tazilo, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Tazilo.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Tazilo. If you use Tazilo on behalf of an organization, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for it.

2.What Tazilo does

Tazilo turns your resume into a professional profile that you keep current by talking to an AI coach. You can:

  • upload a resume and get a private draft profile;
  • tell the coach what changed in your work, and have it update your draft and suggest what's worth highlighting;
  • choose how much to share, review flagged details, and publish a public profile at a tazilo.ai/@handle address;
  • export your profile as a PDF resume; and
  • let AI agents read your published profile through the Tazilo MCP server.

Tazilo is in beta. Features may change, and some may be unavailable or imperfect while we build.

3.Beta access and the waitlist

During the beta, access is limited. Accounts beyond the current number of beta seats are placed on a waitlist, and we let people in from it in our discretion. Joining the waitlist doesn't guarantee access or a date by which you'll get it.

Tazilo is free to use during the beta. If we introduce paid features, we'll tell you in advance, and we'll never charge you without your explicit agreement.

4.Your account

Give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it current. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Tell us at support@tazilo.ai if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

One person, one account. Don't share your account or create accounts on behalf of others without their permission.

5.Your content

You own your content - the resume you upload, what you tell the coach, and your profile. We don't claim ownership of any of it.

To run Tazilo, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce and display your content only as needed to provide the service. That includes processing it with AI models to draft and update your profile, and displaying whatever you choose to publish. This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except where we must keep data to meet legal obligations.

You confirm you have the right to share the content you upload, that it's truthful, and that publishing it won't break any law or obligation you owe someone else - for example, a confidentiality agreement with an employer or client.

6.AI-generated content

Tazilo uses AI to read your resume, suggest edits, write summaries and answer questions about published profiles. AI can make mistakes: it may misread a resume, phrase something inaccurately, or miss something important.

  • Review before you publish. You're responsible for checking your profile and for everything you choose to make public.
  • Suggestions aren't professional advice. The coach offers ideas about presenting your work. It isn't career, legal or financial advice.
  • Don't use AI output to misrepresent yourself. Claim only experience, skills and results that are true.

7.Publishing your profile

Your draft is private. Nothing is public until you publish, and only what you publish - at the level of detail you choose - is shown on your public profile. Once published, your profile can be seen by anyone with the link and may be indexed by search engines. You can change what's public at any time by republishing. To take your profile down, delete your account or email us at support@tazilo.ai. Copies others have already made, or that search engines have cached, may persist.

Before you publish, the privacy radar flags details you may not want public, such as revenue figures, client names or internal project names. It's a helpful check, not a guarantee: it won't catch everything, and the decision to publish is yours.

Your handle (tazilo.ai/@handle) must not impersonate anyone, infringe a trademark or be offensive. We may reclaim or change a handle that breaks these rules.

8.AI agents and the MCP server

Tazilo offers an MCP server that lets AI agents - for example, a recruiter's assistant - read a published profile and ask short factual questions about it. It only ever uses what you've published; your draft and private details are never shared.

If you use the MCP server, you must respect its rate limits and must not use it to collect profiles in bulk, build databases of people, or contact profile owners in ways they haven't invited. We may issue, limit or revoke API keys at our discretion. We aren't responsible for how third-party agents use the answers they receive.

9.Acceptable use

When you use Tazilo, you agree not to:

  • publish false, misleading or plagiarized information;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • upload anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing or infringing, or anyone else's confidential information;
  • scrape, crawl or harvest Tazilo or its profiles, or try to list or guess handles in bulk;
  • get around rate limits, the waitlist, access controls or other protections;
  • use the coach for anything other than your own professional profile, or try to manipulate it with instructions designed to make it misbehave;
  • reverse engineer, overload or interfere with the service, or introduce malware; or
  • use Tazilo to break any law.

10.Tazilo's property

Tazilo's software, design, logo, coach avatar and other materials belong to Tazilo Labs and are protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use Tazilo under these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

11.Third-party services

Tazilo relies on third-party providers - such as cloud hosting, email delivery and AI model providers - to run the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how your data is shared with them. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we're not responsible for their content or practices.

13.Ending your use of Tazilo

You can stop using Tazilo at any time, and you can delete your account from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your profile and the data tied to it, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we stop offering Tazilo. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to export your profile.

14.Changes to Tazilo and these terms

We may change, pause or stop parts of Tazilo. We may also update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Tazilo after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15.Disclaimers

Tazilo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that Tazilo will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI output will be accurate, or that using Tazilo will lead to any job, interview or other opportunity.

16.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tazilo Labs won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities or goodwill, arising from your use of Tazilo. Our total liability for any claim relating to Tazilo is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and US $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

17.Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Tazilo Labs against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you publish, your breach of these terms, or your violation of anyone else's rights.

18.Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

If you have a dispute with us, please email support@tazilo.ai first. We both agree to try to resolve it informally for at least 30 days before starting any formal proceedings. If we can't, the dispute will be decided by the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws where you live.

19.General

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Tazilo Labs about Tazilo. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a part of these terms isn't a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We may send you notices electronically.
